PRINCIPLES
OF POLICE SUPERVISION (8 HOURS)
Upon completion
of this course, attendees will have acquired additional skills and knowledge to enhance their supervisory style of management.
This will give all in attendance a broad prospective on the various tools needed to be an effective supervisor. This will
be accomplished through lecture and classroom discussions. Topics covered are: work ethic, discipline, confidentiality, dealing
with employees and attributes of bosses.
EFFECTIVE
SPEAKING FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT (16 HOURS)
This course is designed to assist individuals to enhance their presentation skills before command
staff and the public. Focus will be on preparation for oral boards, impromptu speaking, surviving the questions, and conquering
stage fright. There will be individual and group presentations.
SMALL
POLICE DEPARTMENT OPERATIONS (8 HOURS)
This seminar will provide participants with new and innovative techniques to enhance their management skills. The
class covers a broad range of topics including: employee training, personnel, budgets, purchasing, hiring and retention practices,
as well as, mutual aide and public relations.
THE BADGE,
THE POWER, THE ATTITUDE (4 HOURS)
This course is designed for law enforcement personnel, to provide you with the
tools needed to cut down on potential hostile situations created by our words and actions. We stress safety, professionalism,
generating voluntary compliance, while teaching better communication skills.
COACHING
FOR CAREER DEVELOPMENT (4 HOURS)
This class will provide managers the skills needed to cultivate and train employees
for career advancement. This seminar will provide managers with practical techniques for empowering employees, and to foster
self-development on the job.
CONFLICT RESOLUTION (4 HOURS)
This seminar will provide us with tools to help us resolve conflict in today's society where differences
in job function, culture, gender, age and a myriad of other factors often lead to distrust, misunderstanding and reduced productivity.
THE
EVALUATION PROCESS (4 HOURS)
This seminar will provide you with the skills needed to be properly prepared for conducting subordinate evaluations,
reviewing them with the employee and possible legal issues pertaining to evaluations.
BASIC COURTROOM TESTIMONY FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL (16 HOURS)
This course will give new law enforcement personnel the basics
to understand the court system, and what are the proper procedures and protocols for courtroom testimony. New Police Officers,
CSA’s, PSA’s, and Code Enforcement Officers. This class will include a moot court.
PATROL AND INVESTIGATIVE REPORT WRITING (8 HOURS)
To identify
the correct procedures for the completion of a well written police report. Topics covered: types of reports, what a
report should contain, and the 5 requirements of a good report.
